What gas type does the Bosch 10P use?
The Bosch 10P (model TF250P) is designed exclusively for natural gas. The reticulated piped gas that most Perth metropolitan homes are connected to. It is not compatible with LPG (bottled gas). Getting the gas type wrong is one of the most common and costly mistakes when ordering a continuous flow system. If your property runs on bottled LPG, the correct Bosch model for you is the 10H in its LPG variant. Ember’s team will always confirm your gas supply type before ordering.
How many bathrooms does the Bosch 10P suit?
The Bosch 10P delivers 10 litres per minute at a 25°C temperature rise, making it best suited to households of 1-2 people with a single bathroom. It is a popular choice for apartments, granny flats, and investment properties where demand is moderate. If your home has two or more bathrooms, or three or more people regularly using hot water simultaneously, we recommend stepping up to the Bosch 16P or a Rheem 16 for reliable performance without temperature drops.
Is the Bosch 10P eligible for any government rebates?
Continuous flow gas systems are not currently eligible for the STC (small-scale technology certificate) rebate, which applies to solar and heat pump systems. However, natural gas running costs are typically lower than electric storage, providing ongoing savings.
What does the 10-year Bosch warranty cover?
The Bosch manufacturer warranty covers parts and labour for defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from incorrect installation, water quality issues, or normal wear of consumable parts. Ember installs all units to Bosch’s specifications to protect your warranty.
