Any and all works carried out by Ember Plumbing and gas either quoted or otherwise will be subject to these terms and conditions in full. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/client to read these terms and conditions.
Definitions
- “Ember Plumbing and Gas” Shall mean Ember Plumbing and Gas PTY LTD ABN: 33 614 556 277
- “Client” shall mean the client, any person acting on behalf of & with the authority of the client, or any person purchasing products & services from Ember Plumbing & Gas.
Payment
- All payments must be paid via cash/EFT or online credit card Payment on or before due date of invoice.
- Any payments which fall overdue shall incur a non-negotiable late fee of $80 with interest incurring monthly at 10% until paid in full.
- Credit card payments can be made online through Stripe.
- Credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 1.75%.
- All quoted works are subject to variations as required & are at the discretion of Ember Plumbing and Gas PTY LTD in order to carry out & complete works to Australian & Safety Standards. All variations will incur further fees & charges in addition to the original quoted amount.
- Emergency rates/charges will apply outside of normal business hours Monday to Friday 0700 to 1700.
Rates
- Ember Plumbing and Gas standard hourly rate is $220.00 inc GST per hour from tradesman arriving onsite until they have left the premises of work being conducted.
- Ember Plumbing and Gas Emergency rate is $450 which includes the first hour of labour and the call out fee.
Ownership
- All goods shall remain the property of Ember Plumbing and Gas PTY LTD until payment is received in full.
Cancellation policy
- The client must provide at least 24 hours of any cancellation of works. Failure to do so will incur a $90 fee. In the scenario our tradesman attends to the premise a minimum charge of 1 hour labour will be charged. Ember Plumbing and Gas is not responsible for any goods that may have been delivered, damaged or lost in the result of a cancellation.
Warranty & Service Terms
- Ember Plumbing & Gas does not provide any warranty on customer supplied materials, fixtures, fittings, or equipment. Any defects, faults, or failures associated with customer supplied goods remain the responsibility of the client and/or the manufacturer.
- Ember Plumbing & Gas warrants its workmanship for a period of six (6) years from the invoice date, in accordance with applicable Australian consumer and plumbing standards. This warranty strictly applies only to the specific works and fittings supplied and installed by Ember Plumbing & Gas. Any works that are altered, tampered with, repaired, or modified by another party without written approval from Ember Plumbing & Gas will void the workmanship warranty.
- All valves, fixtures, and parts supplied and installed by Ember Plumbing & Gas are covered by the manufacturer’s product warranty. If a valve or part fails within the manufacturer’s warranty period, the replacement component will be provided where covered by the manufacturer. However, labour associated with diagnosing the issue, attending site, removing the faulty component, and installing the replacement part will be chargeable to the client, unless the failure is determined to be directly caused by faulty workmanship by Ember Plumbing & Gas.
- Upon completion of the works, the client must inspect the goods and services provided and notify Ember Plumbing & Gas in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of completion if any defects, shortages, or damage are identified.
- Upon receiving written notification, the client must allow Ember Plumbing & Gas reasonable access to inspect the alleged defect within seven (7) working days. Where a valid defect related to workmanship is confirmed, Ember Plumbing & Gas will be given the opportunity to rectify the works within fourteen (14) working days, ensuring the works meet reasonable Australian plumbing standards.
- Where Ember Plumbing & Gas attends site in response to a reported plumbing issue and no plumbing fault or defect is identified, a minimum one (1) hour labour charge will apply. This fee covers technician time, travel, and diagnostic investigation undertaken to assess the reported issue.
- Ember Plumbing & Gas does not provide warranty for blockages in any waste pipes, drainage systems, sewer lines, or stormwater lines, as these systems are subject to external factors including but not limited to misuse, foreign objects, tree root intrusion, ground movement, or deterioration of existing pipework.
Terms and Conditions for Hot Water Systems
- Fully installed price is for a straight change over, meaning the same size model as previously installed.
- Online price is based on a standard installation (1 tradesman onsite + 30 – 60 minute install time), additional charges will apply if 2 tradesman are required onsite and the install time will take longer then the standard install (Customers will be notified prior to job commencement).
- All online bookings are under the assumption you are booking the job and are agreeing to all charges, any job cancellations after a site attendance has been completion will incur a $280 (inc GST) fee to cover business operations costs (collection of hwu/staff wages/fuel/insurances/restocking fee).
- Price is based on the assumption that the existing HWS complies with all relevant gas and plumbing codes.
- Gas pressure must be suffice to supply the HWS and comply with Australian Gas Standards 5601.
- Non return, Line strainers, Cold expansion valves, Gas isolation, Tempering valves all charged at an extra cost.
- Ember Plumbing and Gas will not be responsible for any pre-existing faults with properties plumbing, gas or electrical when replacing hot water system.
Terms and Conditions for Zip Payment
- All Zip interest free payment plans will have a 6% setup fee charged which will be added to the total invoice amount.
- Zip Payment plans to approved accounts only.
